10 Reasons Why You Should Start Blogging

You are either reading this post because:

  • You really, really want to start a blog.
  • You’ve just started a blog and you’re loving it!
  • You’ve started a blog and really want to continue but you’re not too sure?
  • You just landed here because you love Pink.

I began blogging six months ago and it has truly fulfilled a lot of goals. There are many reasons why people start blogging. But if you aren’t sure whether you want to blog, maybe this might help. Here are 10 Reasons why you should start blogging.

1. Blogging lets you explore your creative side.

Life can become very monotonous if your work doesn’t have a creative outlet. Having a blog isn’t just for people who want to write. It is for people who want to share their art, recipes, or any sort of interesting information (in a bright and tasteful way) to the rest of the world. You actually learn to record vital information, that you would normally discard and help share it with the world.

2. Blogging makes you confident.

So you’re slightly uncomfortable standing in front of a massive crowd and giving a big speech. But you still want your ideas to transcend to a large audience without being too loud and too bold? Blogging is your answer! You learn to develop a strong voice, and most importantly, you are heard! You are followed. And it will give you the confidence you need to get out there and be confident!

3. Blogging makes you a Planning God (or Goddess)

By learning to schedule your blog posts and segregate them into meaningful categories, you learn to plan and organize. This works great for Real Life too. And if you have a slight OCD, blogging is perfect for you. It’s neat and organized and nobody else can mess it up.

4. Blogging helps you create a Mini World for yourself.

Imagine writing about everything you love. For egs, I write about Art, Food and Lifestyle. And I’m loving it. This world that you created is all yours to experiment, hoard, and cherish. It’s F-R-E-E-D-O-M. It’s yours to build! So, write, write and write some more.

5. Blogging earns you friends.

Although it takes some time, once you enter the blogging community, you will meet other people. Since you’re pouring your heart out – into your blog, people in your niche will relate to you and if they have similar ideas, they will reach out to you.

6. Blogging encourages you to live on the wild side.

Every little thing you do, might inspire you for your next blog post. You will want to go out on mini-adventures just to write about it. You might want to try that old recipe that was passed on for generations just to pass it on to the Blogging Community. You will have the confidence to wear that new Leather jacket you’ve tucked away in your closet just because you can!

7. Blogging keeps your mind on the run.

I am a very difficult person to satisfy. My insomnia stems from the urge to be productive and do at least one useful thing throughout the day. It doesn’t matter if I’ve been slaving away all day in the kitchen or playing a game on my phone. If I haven’t accomplished something in 24 hours, I cannot go to sleep that night. There, I revealed my inner most secret. Every thing that you will see or hear will inspire you. You will stretch and twist your mind to explore new options and ideas just so you can work it into your blog.

8. Blogging helps not only  you but everyone else.

If you are sharing information that could make it easier for others to pick up new traits, you have one more reason to pursue blogging. By sharing your insight on what you love or know best, you are helping others in the same community to better themselves which is a really good reason to start blogging if not already in.

9. Blogging documents your life.

People who blog, hardly have time to record their daily events. It’s redundant. Instead of writing, “Dear Diary, today I tried a new recipe.” you can post an actual recipe on your blog. It not only looks gorgeous, but it is an ACTUAL journal of your art, hobbies and life events. Years later, you can look upon it to record the number of things you’ve accomplished.

10. Blogging helps you earn an income.

And if all the above reasons don’t do it, then this one surely will. Making money doing what you most love. Seriously. What more could you ask for? You need to be patient and determined, but you can do it. If you’re passionate about blogging, this will only make the process easier.
